LE PHOTOGRAPHE EXTRÊME AUSTRALIEN PARTAGE « DEFINING MOMENTS». Le photographe de montagne Tony Harrington est à Chamonix cet hiver pour partager son extraordinaire, et énorme, anthologie de photographies et les histoires qui les sous-tendent. Intitulé, «DEFINING MOMENTS» ce beau livre présente des décennies de photographies à couper le souffle avec le surf, et la neige de Chamonix et d’Europe, sur plus de 1300 pages. Tony « Harro » Harrington est originaire d’Australie, cependant, ce photographe nomade et aventureux a une réputation mondiale et occupe un créneau unique qu’il a creusé au cours d’une carrière étonnante qui a commencé dans les années 80. Son travail a été régulièrement présenté dans des magazines de ski à travers le monde pendant des décennies, mais outre la chasse aux tempêtes de neige, il a également acquis une réputation formidable dans le monde du surf et est le seul photographe professionnel sur la planète à jouer un rôle aussi important en documentant à la fois les royaumes des grandes vagues et des grandes montagnes. Titled, “Defining Moments” the thumping coffee table book features decades of jaw-dropping photographs with Chamonix and Europe snow and surf, getting a good run amongst the 1200+ pages.Tony “Harro” Harrington hails from Australia, however this nomadic and adventurous photographer has a global reputation and occupies a unique niche that he has carved out during an astonishing career that started back in the 80s.His work has consistently featured in ski magazines across the globe for decades but between chasing snow storms he’s also built a formidable reputation in the world of surfing and is the only professional photographer on the planet to play such asignificant role documenting both realms of big waves and big mountains. Harro’s is a roving and creative life that usually finds him with a camera in his hand and a passport in his pocket as he chases down his next adventure, all while haulingstaggering amounts of gear on and off planes, trains and automobiles. It’s an unconventional and often lonely path and he’s been at it for 40 years, pushing his creativity, and his body, to extraordinary limits in the quest for the perfect shot.
